Things to do.....
Everyone has their own way to enjoy their vacation. Here are a few suggestons as to what is available in the area. It is by no means exhaustive and visitors are very welcome to leave their own suggestions.
Fishing....
Trout fishing is available at Island Derry Fishery, a privately owned lake, near Dromore. Tel 07859074424
Also at Corbet Lough, Banbridge Angling Club ( Rod liscence is necessary) This is very scenic with picnic area and play ground for the children. Boats can be hired on both lakes
Pony trekking....
Horse Riding
This is available at Mount Pleasant Riding Centre in Castlewellan, 9 miles away.
45 minute trex £15 for adults £14 for children

One Great Adventure in Castlewellan Forest Park have a range of adventures for all age groups. Cycling (bicycles available for hire), Electric bicycles with the option of taking children in a cart behind, canoeing, Kayak hire etc They offer a discount to guests in Grove Fort - Please ask when booking.

Most of our guests visit the Giants Causeway and the Titanic Centre, but there are lots more local experiences to have, see Local Attractions. The Mourne Mountains are spectacular,
Downpatrick and St Patricks Sites are worth a visit,
the Bronte Homeland, the birthplace of the classic authors Charlotte and Emily are of interest to some people,
The historic towns of Hillsborough and Dromore are worth a visit
Cities of Belfast and Lisburn have lots to offer, including the Zoo and Linen Centre
The apple county of Armagh has its own attractions.
